HI THERE!
We are Maine Australian Shepherds, established in 2010, located in Aroostook County, Maine, Skagit County, Washington and Park County, Colorado. We raise and breed Australian Shepherds and travel between our two locations with a full crew. Our dogs and puppies are healthy and come from strong working and show lines. Our dogs live with us, in our home and get the best care possible. They have traveled from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Appalachians to the Cascades and from Wall St. to the Vegas Strip. They can do anything of course...they are Aussies - America's Ultimate Herding Dog.
Our love of Aussies comes from their energy, ability and devotion. An Australian Shepherd is not for everyone, but if you lead an active lifestyle, can provide the dog with the proper care and training...including enough space to run, work and play...then an Aussie may be for you.

Maine's Fiddlehead Fern and Applecross Las Animas the Mastermind (Payton) have breed to produce a wonderful litter of pups.
Male Black Tri Maximus
and
Female Red Tri Dolly
are available to qualified homes,
ready now at 9 weeks old.
Tahoe Sue is expecting her next litter to go home in February and Fern's next litter will be in the Spring/Early Summer.
Call for information 970-901-5105.
There are years when we may have 2-3 litters and years like a couple years ago when we had none. All of our dogs are our own companions and breeding depends on many family factors. Check out our Litter Blog on this site and our page on Instagram for more pictures, videos and current updates.
The gestation period for dogs is approximately two months and of course we need another two months to ready them for their forever homes. This means that puppies from these litter will be ready for pick up or delivery in mid January!
Contact us if you are interested in and ready for an Australian Shepherd puppy this Spring and we can begin the valuable communication necessary to make a good match of puppy to new family. A number of spaces in this litter have already been reserved. If you would like to get your foot in the door, now is the time to contact us and and consider making a deposit for a puppy from this or our next litter.
Check out the rest of our site and don't forget to stop back to follow our blog in upcoming months if you enjoy seeing puppies develop.
Please feel free to contact us by phone at (970) 901-5105 or by email at michael@maineaussies.com. If you email us, please include your location and phone number, many people overlook this, so we remind you. You can also consider including our questionnaire with answers in your email, it is at the bottom of the puppy page.
